We are thrilled to present a workshop on Synodality in the Parish led by Avril Baigent of the UK School for Synodality.
The School for Synodality exists to support the Church’s synodal journey of openness to the Holy Spirit through listening, sharing, and discernment. In partnership with dioceses, religious congregations, parishes, communities, and individuals, we create resources, workshops, and opportunities to reflect together, as speaking, writing and offering formation on synodality. While our work began with a focus on the Church in England and Wales, we are increasingly connecting with people across the world which brings rich experience and perspective to our work.

In his very first message to the world, Pope Leo said: "we want to be a synodal Church, a Church that moves forward, a Church that always seeks peace”.
In this workshop, taking a uniquely Canadian angle, we will explore how to apply the principles of synodality to transform our communities, our relationships and our decision-making. The workshop will include an introduction to synodality together with practical tools, and is for anyone interested in the renewal of parish life.
Avril will be joined by members of the CCCB Ad Hoc Committee on Synodality and CLC’s Synodality Working Group, as we apply the synodal method in our diverse Canadian context.
We strongly encourage parish teams to attend, including your pastor!
Follow-up conversations will be offered to support your teams as you work on implementation.
