CLC's inaugural annual Gary Warner Webinar presents Cardinal Michael Czerny, S.J., Prefect emeritus of the Vatican's Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, in conversation with Sebastian Gomes of America Media. They will discuss Pope Leo XIV's landmark encyclical Magnifica Humanitas and its implications for Catholics in Canada. In this, the first encyclical of his pontificate, Pope Leo is concerned with "safeguarding the human person in the age of artificial intelligence". As a Canadian Cardinal who was personally involved in the preparation and presentation of the encyclical, Czerny brings his formative years in Canada and his worldwide experience of service to the church in explaining how this seminal document will impact us all.
