The Diocese of Victoria appears to get it right when responding to clergy sexual abuse

In this recent communication with ALL the faithful of the diocese, Bishop Gary Gordon, sets out clearly the case that is currently in the media. He provides a link to the CBC story. He expresses concern for the victim and for other victims hearing the story. He offers pastoral support. He informs people of the appointment last spring of an INDEPENDENT agent to review historical files to respond better to victims. They are taking a victim-centered approach. And the Bishop PRAYS for victims, for peace and healing. Read Bishop Gordon’s memo and consider if all our bishops were to take this approach.
