A settler's fundraising reflective walk for Indigenous survivors, families and communities.

To register:

The walk will be limited to 25 people and will take the original route of walking 21 km from the Brantford Civic Centre, past Woodland Cultural Centre towards Six Nations, the home to many of the children who attended the school. There will be opening and closing reflections, tobacco pouches will be given to anyone who wishes to carry one throughout the walk and participants will be asked to wear orange. It will be a reflective, meaningful walk!

Since space on the walk is limited to 25, CLC encourages people to make their own walk from wherever they are. To learn more about the church’s involvement in Canada’s residential schools, and the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, visit

Residential School Survivors — Concerned Lay Catholics

The purpose of the walk is to raise awareness, to promote reconciliation through education and to raise funds for the Woodland Cultural Centre (formerly a residential school in Brantford, ON).

Donations can be made by walkers, as well as for anyone unable to walk but still wishing to remember the children in this meaningful way. Funds raised will be used for traditional language education and resource development.
