It’s not about the Latin…

The following article from La Croix provides an explanation of the debate around the Pope’s recent directive regarding the celebration of the Eucharistic liturgy. You might be surprised to learn that it’s not about using Latin or not; it’s about using the pre-Vatican II form (Tridentine Rite) of the eucharistic liturgy which was first formulated in the 16th century after the Reformation and was replaced by a new form after Vatican II.
