Development and Peace issues invitation to sign up for continuous prayer for success of the Indigenous leaders’ visit
You may have heard that next week is the journey of representatives from the Assembly of First Nations, the Métis National Council, Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami and the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops to the Vatican to meet with Pope Francis. D&P, as a member of the Guadalupe Circle, is encouraging a week of continuous prayer for the delegation between Monday and Friday next week.
Ontario has the slot of 11am to 1pm. Ontario animators have put together the Excel spreadsheet below where people can sign up for 15-minute increments. Our goal is to have each space filled, so we can say with confidence that we had members praying every day during our designated time.
Members can sign up for multiple slots if they would like to. Many people may already be participating in this vigil through their parish or another organization. And of course, anyone can pray during the day, and multiple people can pray at the same time, but having people signed up for specific slots will help us ensure we’re doing our part to keep the continuous prayer going.
